Would you like to double your income and double your time off? Then start by saying “I am responsible”.
Improving your income, being more productive so you can work less, achieving your version of success, and loving your life they are all largely up to you. You get to choose how you work, what you work on, and how you view your journey. When you accept that you are responsible for everything you are and everything you will be, it changes everything.
When you accept complete responsibility for yourself and your life, you refuse to make excuses or blame others for anything in your life that you are unhappy about. You refuse to criticize others or complain about things that have happened to you. You push through the fear and doubts to focus only on what you really want and where you are headed in your future.
If you want to double your income and double your time off, you need to take complete responsibility for yourself, your life, and your results. No excuses. If you are unhappy with an element of your life, take responsibility and start changing it. If something doesn’t go as you expected, accept responsibility and start looking for solutions. If you are unhappy with your current income or profit, you are responsible. Start doing more of the things that are necessary for you to increase it. If you don’t have enough time away from work, accept responsibility for that too and start doing something about it.
There are really only four things that we can do to improve the quality of our work and our life.
1. Do more of the things that are high value and that bring you joy or rewards.
2. Do less of the things that are not helping you accomplish the things you really want.
3. Start doing things that move you towards your goals. Create new habits, learn new skills, start new projects or set new goals.
4. Stop doing things that are unproductive. Reassess the habits and activities you are doing. Are they helping you get what you want and become the person you want to be?
Everything you do is within your control. When you accept responsibility, you feel powerful! It gives you a feeling of control over yourself and your life. The more responsibility you take, the more capable, confident and energized you will feel.
What things can you commit to starting, stopping, doing more of, and doing less of for yourself? When you take responsibility to focus on the right things, the things that matter and produce results, the quicker you will double your income and your time off.
